Our law firm provided legal advice to Polski Koncern Naftowy ORLEN S.A. on the project involving a retrofit of the TG1 turbine generator set at CHP Płock, one of the largest heat and power plants in Europe and the largest one in Poland.
The retrofit of the TG1 turbine generator set includes dismantling of the existing machinery and replacing it with new machinery built on a turn-key basis with its capacity increased from the current 55 MWe to 65 MWe, together with ancillary infrastructure. The company that will be responsible for construction and maintenance is GE Power Sp. z o.o., a subsidiary of one of the global leaders in the energy sector.
The person in charge of the whole project on the part of our law firm was Joanna Nowak-Paradowska, who was responsible for drafting the EPC Contract on a turn-key basis and a long-term service agreement (LTSA), and participation in negotiation of the two agreements. The other Partner in our energy practice who supported the project was Przemysław Kałek.
Both agreements were entered into on 10 June 2019.
