Our lawyers have advised Baltic Power, a member of the ORLEN Group, in relation to the signing of an agreement with Polskie Sieci Elektroenergetyczne (PSE) that secures grid connection for an offshore wind farm to be built in the Baltic Sea. The ORLEN Group develops its offshore wind energy projects through Baltic Power, which holds a licence for construction of an offshore wind farm with a total maximum capacity up to 1.2 GW. The project will be located around 23 km off the coast near Łeba and Choczewo, and its implementation is to commence in 2024.
Our advice included comprehensive support in the process of negotiating with PSE the grid connection agreement for the offshore wind farm.
The person in charge of supervising the entire project in our Firm was Przemysław Kałek.
The agreement was signed in January 2021.
